Recommendations on future strategies for risk-based early warning and detection of known and unknown vector-borne threats
There is need for at generic and systematic approach to surveillance of vector-borne pathogens, to increase preparedness for future threats and thereby facilitate prevention, earlier detection and effective control of these conditions. this project will contribute to the development and evaluation of national surveillance systems by providing recommendations of prioritisation of surveillande of animal exotic pathogens, with focus on vector-borne threats. The work will also identify the need for further dwevelopment including early warning approaches and diagnostics that will improve ou capacity also for early detection.
