Research area Aquatic animal diseases, microbial pathogens, genomics, sequencing data, method development.

My research interest is in genomics of microbial pathogens. Before joining SVA I have been working on several projects at the intersection of molecular biology, genetics, genomics and bioinformatics, studying production animals, model species (fish and dogs) and plant pathogens. At SVA I am working on development of molecular methods for diagnostics of aquatic pathogens, with particular focus on application of next-generation sequencing data for Saprolegnia pathogens in salmonid fish species.
