Title
Research area Viral infections, immunology and immune response, method development.
My research experience comes from the human side where I have been working with a wide range of viruses such as Adenoviruses, Zika, Influenza, RSV, and Puumala. Since joining SVA I have been working on increasing our knowledge regarding viral infections in fish. I currently mainly focus on developing novel methods to identify the pathogen(s) responsible for the annual deaths in the Swedish salmon population. However, I am also involved in various research projects that aim to develop diagnostics for infectious agents targeting relatively new species of fish farmed in Sweden, e.g. Tilapia and Clarias.
