Research area Epidemiology of infectious animal diseases, mainly in the global south.

I have particular interests in African swine fever, participatory epidemiology and community engagement approaches for improving disease control. Much of my research is done in multidisciplinary teams studying how social, economic and cultural contexts shape peoples’ experience of diseases, disease prevention and control, as well as how disease control measures can be designed to be sustainable and attractive for smallholder farmers in low-income settings.
