Update and modernisation of knowledge material on mastitis in dairy cows

Mastitis (udder inflammation) is the most common and costly disease among Swedish dairy cows. The aim of the project was to update and modernize available knowledge material on mastitis (udder inflammation) in dairy cows aimed at dairy producers and their personnel, veterinary students, veterinarians and other advisors, and when needed produce new material. The long term goal was to improve the knowledge about mastitis among the target groups and thereby improve udder health and econoy in milk production. In the project an inventory of the need of information material and communication channels for the target groyps were performed using a webb enquiry. In addition, an inventory of existing information material was performed. Then, work constructing a new web site called Juverportalen.se started as well as production of new text material. In the web site both existing and newly produced material was gathered as text files and/or links to other web sites. The web site was launched in August 2019 and is available via www.juverportalen.se. Information about the web site is spread to the target groups via all known communication channels through campaigns during late summer/autumn/winter 2019.
